Home Soundproofing

Soundproofing products for your home

Buying soundproofing products for your home can be a good move for lots of reasons. If you're a musician and love to crank up that amp, soundproofing your home can remove the stress of disturbing your neighbours. Soundproofing your home can also be a smart idea if you have a young family. On the other side of the coin, soundproofing can also help when you have a noisy family or aspiring rock band next door.

Buying soundproofing products for your home can even add value to your property and remove the need to move out to the country, which can save you money and hassle. But where can you get those vital soundproofing products for your home?

Soundproofing without disruption

Maxislab Masonry Wall SoundproofingSound Reduction Systems (SRS), based in Bolton, can help. We've been manufacturing domestic soundproofing systems for many years. With a range of products and a raft of experience, we have products that can soundproof your house with little disruption and without sacrificing too much valuable space. Whether it's for soundproofing walls, floors, ceilings or your boiler cupboard, we've got a solution for your home.

Maxiboard, developed by SRS, is an excellent home soundproofing material for walls and ceilings. Fixed using resilient bars, Maxiboard creates a semi-independent, dense skin on the wall or ceiling that's isolated from its supporting structure. You'll get a high-performance, soundproofed wall while losing only around 60mm of space. Home soundproofing can also be achieved with Acoustilay. Used as a carpet or timber floor underlay, Acoustilay is great for reducing impact noise. In fact, opt for the heavier versions, Acoustilay 8 and Acoustilay 15, and you'll significantly cut airborne noise transmission, too.

Ultimate in home soundproofing

Another noise issue in your house is boilers. Today's high-efficiency boilers can be noisier than older central-heating systems. So use Maxiboard or Soundstop to line your boiler cupboard, minimise disturbance to surrounding rooms and give everyone a quiet night's sleep. Soundstop is an acoustic curtain made from highly absorbent acoustic foam sandwiched around a dense sheet of lead which can easily be shaped to soundproof a boiler.

Soundproofing your home needn't be as expensive or difficult as you might imagine. To discuss soundproofing products, please call SRS's technical department on 01204 380074 for free, friendly advice. Sound Reduction Systems has the perfect products for soundproofing your home.
