Sound Reduction Systems Ltd (SRS) were recently approached by a recently refurbished restaurant in Norfolk for help with their room acoustics.
Arbuckles Restaurant & Bar is a family owned establishment that has been serving quality American food since 1983. Recent refinements have seen Arbuckles offer a wider range of cuisine as well as expanding their 100 cover family restaurant to a site which now includes a 64 cover adult dining room and cocktail bar.
The new dining space, although elegant and beautifully finished, had many harsh, acoustically reflective surfaces within it. This was causing excessive reverberation and echo problems that were compounded when the restaurant was full of diners, all talking at once. Arbuckles Manager John Murphy was conscious of this and keen to improve the dining environment for his customers, he contacted SRS for their expert help.
Working with the restaurant to provide the most appropriate solution, SRS Director, Alex Docherty, was able to provide various quotes and layout options until John had settled on one that he felt offered the best overall package in terms of performance, cost and aesthetics.
SRS sent their specialist fitter to site to fit the panels within a week from order. John commented:
“The panels have made a big difference over the weekend so have done exactly what I wanted them to do”
