What products can SRS recommend for Hotel Soundproofing?
Soundproofing a hotel is vitally important to ensure your guests get a good nights rest without disturbance whilst ensuring that function rooms, bars and restaurants can operate for as long as they are required. Sound Reduction Systems, the leading independent manufacturer of high performance soundproofing products, can advise you with any aspect of hotel soundproofing, or building acoustics in general. Sound Reduction Systems have a fully qualified, experienced and approachable technical team to ensure the most effective solution.
The walls between hotel rooms can be significantly improved by installing a semi independent lining of Maxiboard supported by resilient bars fixed to the original structure (the timber studs or a masonry wall). A Maxiboard wall lining can significantly reduce the amount of noise passing between rooms whilst minimising the space lost in each room. Sound reduction systems also produce easy to install acoustic socket boxes to encase the back boxes of any sockets or light switches that may need to be installed onto the dividing wall between rooms.
Maxi HP is commonly used to acoustically separate rooms within new build hotels in order to maximise the number of rooms that can be built on a given site. Maxi HP has been extensively tested and has demonstrated compliance with Part E of the Building Regulations as well as offering a fire resistance of 1 hour. Maxi HP offers excellent acoustic and fire performance for a partition thickness of 109mm plus finishing treatment.
Acoustilay is frequently used to soundproof floors in hotels and guest houses as it is already a luxury underlay particularly suited to areas of heavy traffic. The real benefit from using Acoustilay 8 and Acoustilay 15 on timber floor structures is its excellent ability to reduce both airborne and impact noise passing through the floor, minimising disturbance. Acoustilay is perfect for improving existing hotel rooms without causing disruption and can typically be fitted in a matter of hours. For even better soundproofing, Maxideck offers the ultimate method of upgrading a hotel floor, creating a dense floating floor.
Sound Reduction Systems also have solutions for more sophisticated challenges, such as soundproofing between meeting rooms, through suspended ceilings and from kitchens, we can cover all aspects of hotel soundproofing.
