Garage Soundproofing

I would like to soundproof my garage.  Do SRS manufacture garage soundproofing and sound insulation materials?

Garage soundproofing can quickly and easily add another room to your house that can be used for music practice and recording, a home cinema, or just another room to relax and enjoy peace and quiet in. However, garages are small, narrow rooms and any significant loss of space will quickly make the room too small to be useful.

SRS Solutions for Garage Soundproofing

Sound Reduction Systems high performance acoustic building board, Maxiboard for walls, is the ideal solution to soundproof your garage without losing lots of space. Maxiboard for walls is used to create a semi independent, soundproof shell within your garage, containing any noise within the garage, but also excluding any external noise from disturbing the garage too.
Garage Soundproofing Maxiboard Wall Lining
Maxiboard for walls is fixed to the existing walls of the garage using resilient bars to isolate it from the existing structure, these work like a suspension system to reduce the amount of noise passing from one side to the other. It may also be necessary to use Maxiboard for walls to soundproof the garage door or any windows, which can easily be completed by using a simple timber support structure to which the Maxiboard for walls is fixed. Maxiboard for walls can also be used to construct a soundproof ceiling in much the same way, the resilient bars are fixed to the underside of the roof/floor structure over the garage, the Maxiboard for walls being fixed to the resilient bars. Maxiboard for walls can be decorated and finished easily, so that your soundproof garage becomes a pleasant space to work and play in. In addition to soundproofing the walls with Maxiboard, Acoustilay can be used on the floor of the garage to isolate drum kits, equipment or machinery to prevent noise passing into the floor. This garage soundproofing should achieve a very good level of soundproofing, with even very high levels of noise reduced to acceptable levels.

Garage Sound Absorption

The quality of the acoustics within the garage itself must also be considered. Garages tend to have lots of acoustically ‘hard’ or reflective surfaces, and a lack of absorptive surfaces, which leads to lots of reverberation and a progressive increase in background noise. This can quickly make the space an unpleasant place to be in.

Sonata Acoustic Solutions for Garage Sound absorption

Sonata absorbent panels can rectify this by discretely introducing effective absorption to a wall, ceiling or atrium in an attractive and easy to install package. Sonata panels come in a wide palate of colours to perfectly complement the décor of the office.
