How do I soundproof my creaking floorboards?

I am looking for a solution for a creaking floor. Is there something I can lay over the floorboards to eliminate the creaking?

Soundproofing Advice from Sound Insulation Experts SRS Ltd
The Creaking that you can hear is caused by movement in the floor and there are no proprietary solutions to this problem.

To remedy the squeaking floorboards it is necessary to stop them moving against each other.  A common way of doing this is to ensure that the floorboards are firmly screwed to the joists.  If the movement in the boards is as a result of movement in the joists themselves, then the joists should be stiffened using timber plates or noggins.

The structural stiffness issues should be remedied prior to the addition of any acoustic flooring products such as Acoustilay, Maxideck, or SubPrimo can then be used on top of the floorboard to improve the overall sound insulation performance of the separating floor.
