Commonly the following SRS products are used within the home for domestic soundproofing:
Maxiboard - High density, composite building board suitable to improve the sound insulation performance of walls and ceilings. Maxiboard can be used to meet the requirements of Part E. Maxiboard comes into its own where maximum acoustic performance is required with minimal loss of room space.
Acoustilay - SRS Acoustilay is the original proprietary underlay system: Beware of imitations! New SRS Acoustilay still offers the same high acoustic performance of the previous product, is still completely UK manufactured, but is now fully 100% recyclable. Genuine SRS Acoustilay now has a green, PVC free barrier mat for clear identification, and also has installation guidance clearly printed upon it to avoid confusion and delay on site
Maxideck - High density, composite acoustic flooring overlay board. Maxideck can be used to meet the sound insulation requirements of Part E of the Building Regulations. Maxideck is typically installed on top of floorboards, beneath the finished floor surface. The top layer of Maxideck is a moisture resistant MDF, therefore Maxideck is suitable for use in all rooms within the home, including wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
SubPrimo - Acoustic underlay for laminate and timber flooring. SubPRimo is a 6mm acoustic underlay that can be loose laid onto the floor prior to the installation of the laminate of timber floor.
